How To Connect iPhone with Chevy Cruze MyLink Bluetooth
When you buy a new car, it’s best to get to know its ins and outs right away. While getting comfortable behind the wheel is priority one, it’s also a good idea to become familiar with your car’s safety and technology features. Since most new Chevy models come with Bluetooth Connectivity, its best you sync your phone right away so you can fully utilize steering wheel controls to communicate through your phone without taking your hands or eyes off the wheel. Here’s a quick and easy step-by-step guide on how to connect an iPhone with Chevy Cruze Bluetooth through MyLink, but keep in mind, this process should be very similar on any new Chevy model.
Step 1: On your phone, make sure Bluetooth is on and ready to scan for new devices.
Step 2: From the home screen of the MyLink touchscreen interface, touch the phone button.
Step 3: Press Phone Settings
Step 4: Press Bluetooth
Step 5: Press Pair Device
Step 6: In your iPhone Settings, find Bluetooth. It will search for devices and after a few seconds (give it up to a minute or two) it will show your vehicle as a nearby device. Select your vehicle from the Devices menu.
Step 7: Selecting your vehicle will prompt a pin number to appear on the MyLink screen.
Step 8: Confirm that the pin on your phone and on the screen match.
Step 9: Your phone will ask permission for MyLink to access to your phonebook. This will allow you to find contacts and make calls from the MyLink interface.
Step 10: Test the steering wheel-mounted controls to ensure you can successfully make and receive hands-free phone calls. If everything is working properly, you’ve successfully connected your iPhone with Chevy Cruze Bluetooth through MyLink.
As we mentioned before, the exact or similar process can be used to connect your iPhone with the Chevy Malibu, Chevy Equinox and several other new Chevy models. Of course, if you need a hand pairing your phone to your vehicle, stop by and our vehicle experts would be happy to help.
