New 2016 Chevy Equinox
With the Canadian International Auto Show firmly underway, Chevrolet Canada came out swinging by reintroducing one of its most popular vehicles on the planet to an anxious crowd. The Canadian-built new 2016 Chevy Equinox was unveiled in Chicago to a very excited crowd of automotive journalists. Many of the changes to the 2016 Equinox come on the outside of the vehicle and give the popular compact SUV a very contemporary look. Other updates have come in the form of new accent pieces, new wheel designs and the inclusion of a rear-view camera across all trim models. There hasn’t been a date for the 2016 Chevy Equinox set to arrive to Don Wheaton yet.
Of all of the Chevy vehicles currently on the Don Wheaton roster, the refresh of the 2016 Chevy Equinox is a long time coming. Very little about the popular SUV has been changed since it was introduced for the 2010 model-year. The overall changes made to the 2016 Equinox simply make the roster of Chevy SUVs stronger than ever. In fact, as an individual model, January 2015 saw one of the best sale’s periods in the model’s history.
“The Ontario-built Chevrolet Equinox is one of North America’s favourite compact SUVs, thanks to value rooted in great style, efficiency, safety and connectivity,” Bob McClelland, brand director, Chevrolet in Canada said in a press release. “The 2016 Equinox has been updated to deliver a contemporary new look and new technologies to build on its outstanding versatility and efficiency.”
Some of the new features of the 2016 Chevy Equinox include, a new front fascia design with a dual port grille, each trim will now have premium projector-beam headlights to help the driver of the vehicle be able to see the road better as well as be seen easier. The instrument panel has been redesigned with a new look for the center stack with additional storage compartments.
