Custom Truck Thursday: Two guys, a girl and three awesome trucks
For the third week in a row, the highlight of jobs at the Don Wheaton Blog is writing the Custom Truck Thursday posts that have appeared for the last two weeks. That day is upon us again. Even though we didn’t think it was going to be possible, but the three entries for this week’s submissions were even tougher to choose from than last week’s. Let’s be serious for a second, the trucks we have had to consider for last two weeks have been some of the most outstanding and beautifully customized trucks we have seen. Any of them could end up being the winner of the $500 in custom accessories from Don Wheaton. Now, on to this week’s Custom Truck Thursday submissions.
Nikky M. was very enthusiastic about her 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 with the All Terrain package. Some of the upgrades that Nikky had added to her pickup include customized wheels and tires as well as a new grille and mud flats. The white truck with the sharp contrast of the blacked out grille definitely gives Nikky’s truck a sharp, crisp aesthetic. What Nikky had to say about her customized pickup truck, “Girls love custom, too.”
Our next truck for Custom Truck Thursday is a veritable photo negative of our first. The 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali features a gloss black paint scheme but uses subtle and smart chrome elements on the door handles and side-view mirrors to break up what would otherwise be quite the monolith of a pickup truck. Owner Narzan B also added customized wheels, tires and mud flaps. Those features are in addition to the four-inch lift kit and customized black grille. As a Denali, the truck is powered by the 6.2-liter, V-8 engine.
Last, but not least, is a 2015 GMC Sierra 3500 Denali with one of the most striking red paint schemes we have ever seen. Combined with the chrome accents, this truck could almost disappear in front of you. This heavy duty entry for Custom Truck Thursday is owned by Ryan W. and features custom wheels, tires and mud flaps. A six-inch lift package has been added to the pickup truck as has a custom painted grille. What Ryan says about his truck, “Some people have told me it’s the nicest truck they’ve ever seen.”
