Custom Truck Thursday
It’s time for another Custom Truck Thursday Blog from Don Wheaton. We know it has only been a month of us doing it, but it seems like we could go ahead and call this series the official start to the weekend. As usual, the response from everyone out there has been just fantastic. The photos of the trucks you are sending in are simply beautiful. Our Fleet Manager, Brandi Martin, is really having a tough time selecting the ones we are going to put on the blog each week. Remember, everyone that sends in a photo (even if it doesn’t make the blog) is entered to win $500 in accessories from our Service Department. Now, on to the trucks!
Our first entry for this week’s Custom Truck Thursday entry is from Dion P. Dion’s truck is a GMC Sierra 2500 with an impressive list of custom alterations. Our proud truck-owner picked up custom wheels and tires, as well as a level kit. In order to keep the inevitable spray from those aggressive new tires under control, he also ordered some custom mud flaps. It may be tough to see on the included photo, but Dion also has a folding tonneau cover that can keep the items in the cargo bed out of the rain and snow.
Just looking at the photo, we can tell Al L. is serious about standing out from the crowd. It’s not just because of the black on black paint, grille and wheels that adorn his truck, but the very stance of the truck is really something special. We can’t see it in the photo, but Al’s truck features a supercharger on the engine that will allow its performance to keep pace with its looks. This Sierra 2500 also features a custom cargo box cover and mud flaps.
Josh L’s 2014 Chevy Silverado builds upon the excellent array of accessories that come with its LTZ trim package. Like the two previously profiled trucks from this week, Josh has chosen to add a cover to go over the cargo bed for an added level of protection and a little different look. An element that makes this Silverado standout from the pack is the (unpictured) spray-in bedliner.
