Custom Truck Thursday
The month of March was a particularly fun one for the Don Wheaton Blog. Our Custom Truck Thursday series was a huge success and we will be doing something similar along the same lines for this month. (Hint: Check back with us tomorrow) This series of blogs served a pair of purposes. First, it allowed people to have their pickup trucks shown off to the community to let people know that there is so much more possible than what you see on the showroom floor. Second, it allowed us to run a contest to give away $500 in accessories for someone to use on their vehicle. Kris S. of Edmonton, Alberta has been named our winner of the accessories contest.
Kris submitted the winning entry last week. His truck appeared on the April 2 post. Just in case you don’t want to don’t want to click this entry, we will give you a little review of his tricked out truck. The truck that took home the top prize was a 2015 GMC Sierra Crew Cab one-ton pickup. The most striking element is the intense black on black paint scheme with black GMC logo, black Denali grille and custom bolt on fenders.
We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the tires. Oh my, the tires. Kris is rolling around with custom tires with a very aggressive tread pattern as well as a set of dualies in the rear. He also added custom mud flaps and a light bar.
As quickly as Kris won the $500 in accessories from the Don Wheaton Fleet Department, he had it spent. In addition to this impressive pickup truck, Kris also owns a Cadillac CTS-V. For as creative as we are at the Don Wheaton Blog, we can’t imagine what you can do to a sedan that has the profile and performance of the CTS-V. But that’s why our technicians and Kris are working together. Once his Caddy is properly outfitted, you can be sure we will find an excuse to show it to you.
