What will the new Chevy Camaro look like
If there is one thing to be said about Chevy and the new 2016 Chevy Camaro, its that each released detail is more tantalizing than the last. While we were wrapping up odds and ends from April, Chevy snuck out some information and photos giving clues to what will the new Chevy Camaro look like. Granted they are presented in bare metal and in shadow, but you can really see the engineering and work that is going into the Generation Six Camaro. A common theme being maintained throughout all of the clues we’ve received about the new car is the lighter and sleeker exterior. Those facts, in conjunction with the rest of the weight-shedding that has been done is going to make for a very lean and responsive Camaro.
As you can see from the photo of the hood (left), we can get a clue what the new Chevy Camaro will look like. A series of complex shapes and curves make up the design for the Camaro’s new hood. The edges noticeably flare up and out to, likely, accommodate the front tires of the vehicle. According to the Chevy press release, every shape and surface element of the new hood is an artistic combination of hand built and digitally-rendered design. The end result is a hood that appears to be vacuum-sealed around the engine department.
At the top of this page is a photo of the rear portion of the new Camaro. This photo lets us know what the new Chevy Camaro will look like by giving a clue to the new sports car’s proportions. Much new Camaro’s rear look will be very similar to the Generation Five vehicle. Chevy describes it like this, “The new Camaro retains the broad, dramatic rear fenders that became a defining feature of the award-winning Gen 5 Camaro.”
The subtle changes will give the impression that the new Generation Six 2016 Camaro is lower and wider than the previous version, but in reality it has a smaller footprint.
We won’t know for sure what the new Chevy Camaro will look like until May 16 when the new car is unveiled at a special event at Detroit’s Belle Isle Park. If you would like to get a jump on the competition, contact a Don Wheaton sales professional today about the starting the pre-order process.
