Features of the 2016 Terrain
The Chevy portion of the future offerings at Don Wheaton have taken up so much of our time, that we almost missed the introduction of the 2016 GMC Terrain. There have been several changes to the features of the 2016 Terrain, but GMC designers have stopped just short of calling it a total redesign. First time observers will notice an updated front-end design with new fascia elements and a power dome hood. LED daytime running lights and additional chrome accents round out the preliminary changes to the 2016 GMC Terrain. An exact arrival date for the new GMC crossover SUV has not been specified yet, but early estimates say it go on sale at dealerships like Don Wheaton this fall.
Many of the changes to the features of the 2016 Terrain have come in the way of expanding comfort to the rest of the passengers in the vehicle. The SLT version of the new GMC Terrain will have an eight-way power-adjustable seat for the front passenger. Previously this was only available on the top-of-the-line Terrain Denali trim. More storage capacity was added to the forward portion of the new GMC Terrain by redesigning the center stack as well as updating the control graphics.
“The updates for the 2016 Terrain make one of the strongest designs in the compact SUV market even more compelling,” Helen Emsley, executive director, Global GMC Design said in a GMC press release. “They create a more contemporized appearance rooted in GMC’s professional grade precision.”
There are plenty of things remaining the same for the 2016 GMC Terrain to allow people to remain comfortable with the SUV. GMC engineers have opted to stay with the same EcoTec 2.4-liter, four-cylinder and 3.6-liter, V-6 for the power plants. Additionally, all-wheel drive is an option that can be chosen for the SLE, SLT and Denali trims. Also remaining in place is MultiFlex sliding rear seat and the 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
