All Pontiac Show and Shine
Don Wheaton is very proud to be the location for the All Pontiac Show and Shine hosted by the Alberta Iron Indians Pontiac Club. On Sept. 12, from 10 a.m until 4 p.m. Pontiac vehicles from all through the make’s history will be on display at the Don Wheaton lot. Those participating in the show can register their vehicles from 10 a.m. until noon and the awards will be handed out to the winners at 3:30 p.m. There is a $15 registration fee or that can be knocked down to $10 with a donation of a non-perishable item to the food bank.
While most people will be attending the All Pontiac Show and Shine to see the classic vehicles, this is also very much an even that the who family can enjoy. The show’s hosts, the Alberta Iron Indians Pontiac Club will be sponsoring a kids’ activity tent with face painting and cotton candy. Kids is a relative term, the only requirement for face painting is that someone be young at heart. A silent auction will also be ongoing through out the day with the proceeds going to STARS. Additionally, the group will have representatives on site to collect donations.
A great way to get an idea of the kind of vehicles that will be appearing at the All Pontiac Show and Shine, is to check out the Don Wheaton Custom Cruise Friday series on the dealership’s blog. Starting in the spring of this year, the dealership has found and profiled a different classic, modified or special General Motors vehicle. The range of cars and trucks covered by the series covers a lot of ground and tells the story behind each vehicle as well as sharing some specifications.
