Custom Cruise Friday
At the heart of every good story is conflict. Literature teachers explain that this is usually portrayed as a person versus person; versus nature; versus self. In this week’s Custom Cruise Friday Blog, we have a person versus truck story. Before finally purchasing a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 with Double Cab and Carbon 20 graphics from Don Wheaton sales professional Shawn MacDougall, owner Vichen Zadoorian was not initially terribly taken with his pickup truck. However, after taking final delivery of his pickup, Zadoorian quickly came around. Zadoorian’s desire for a new pickup is balanced by equal parts desire and utility as he makes the transition into the world of farming.
“I was considering tell them to find a truck without (the graphics package) at first,” Zadoorian said. “What got me is how (Don Wheaton) does the custom trucks to get done up.”
Zadoorian has only had the truck for about two weeks and has already changed his mind. After seeing the final product with the custom wheels and tires, as well as how those elements complement the leveling kit that has been installed, Zadoorian finally saw the truck for what it is.
“It grew on me, I suppose,” Zadoorian said.
In the near future Zadoorian plans to turn his acreage outside of Edmonton, Alberta into a working farm. He stated he will need the power provided by the truck’s V-8 engine to pull water and a variety of other agricultural implements from point to point on the farm. He already owns a horse and has need to safely pull a horse trailer, which leads to an ensuing series of upgrades including having the factory trailer brake installed as well as adding dual exhaust.
