Release date for the 2016 Buick Envision
For the past several months, Don Wheaton has been working very hard to extoll the virtues of its roster of pickup trucks and SUVs from Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac. We have already brought you the latest news regarding changes to popular vehicles in the GMC, Chevrolet and Cadillac lineups. Now its time for Buick to take center stage. The longtime builder of world class sedans has made huge strides with its two SUV offerings the Buick Enclave and Buick Encore, with the latter being the bestselling Buick model in nearly a decade. Recently, the automaker has introduced it third crossover SUV, the 2016 Buick Envision. The release date for the 2016 Buick Envision is set for sometime after the new year.
A preliminary glance at the details surrounding the new 2016 Buick Envision place it between the compact Encore and the larger Enclave. The new Buick five-passenger crossover SUV is built to be a powerful and fuel-efficient vehicle option for Don Wheaton customers shopping within the Buick framework. The vehicle is powered by a turbocharged, 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine with a peak power output of more than 250 horsepower. This is more power than offered by a similarly equipped model of the Lincoln MKC. Fuel consumption scores for the 2016 Envision have not been released yet, however, scores of 10.7 L/100 km in the city and 7.8 L/100 km on the highway shouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility.
From a practical aspect, passengers will have plenty of space to work with to be comfortable on even the longest drives. The driver and front passenger will have almost 41 inches of legroom to work with and the rear passengers will be treated to a little more than 37 inches. Both of these figures are on par with what other vehicles are offering. Regardless of nameplate or manufacturer, the name of the game in the crossover SUV world is flexibility. The 2016 Envision will offer plenty of room behind the second row for hauling cargo or whatever needs to be stowed back there. With the rear seats folded away, that space rapidly expands to nearly 60 cubic-feet of cargo volume.
Some of the features included with the 2016 Envision are active grille shutters, LED daytime running lights, passive entry and push-button start, heated seats, Buick IntelliLink system and the 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot is available.
