Don Wheaton has Chevy Android Auto update available
The availability of the Android Auto suite of applications, as well as those found with Apple CarPlay, have revolutionized the way Chevy owners interact with their cars and smartphones. Depending on which new model of Chevy an owner has taken home, the Chevy MyLink infotainment system will have a seven or eight-inch touchscreen. For some reason, up until now, models with the eight-inch touchscreen could only use the Apple CarPlay suite. What if I use an iPhone and Apple CarPlay?
There is nothing you have to do. Apple products users are all set to go. The only time a change would be made is if you were to change smartphones and start using an Android-based device.
Which version of Android should I have?
In order to use Android Auto and its wonderful selection of applications, the device needs to be running Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher.
