New 2017 Sonic comes with new tech
Subcompact cars are increasing in popularity with shoppers because of increased performance, handling and technology. Chevrolet is ready to lead the way for another model year once the Canadian release date for the 2017 Chevy Sonic arrives. The new Chevy Sonic has picked up some new design features for 2017 and is still available in either a hatchback or sedan body style. Younger buyers are being targeted by Chevrolet with the new Sonic. To accomplish this goal, Chevy engineers have included the best technology the automaker has to offer as well as keeping the manufacturer’s suggested retail price as modest as possible.
New look for 2017 Sonic
The changes made for the 2017 Chevy Sonic are aimed at making the car have a more athletic and capable look as well as making it more appealing to overseas-buyers. Designers of the 2017 Chevy Spark, have given potential buyers the choice of having a sedan or hatchback. This means that both modes are getting new front-end styling cues, including a new hood, new front fascia and Projector-beam headlights. Engineers have maintained the same stance for the 2017 Chevy Sonic, with its wheels being placed at the corner of the chassis, drivers of the car will notice sharper handling characteristics over previous models.
New features for new Sonic
Available technology is an important feature for the new Chevy hatchback or sedan. Once the Canadian release date for the 2017 Chevy Sonic arrives, potential owners will see some new equipment in the car. The Sonic will be the first in its class to offer drivers a power-adjustable seat. That comes on top of other advanced features like, keyless entry and ignition, heated seats as well as a heated steering wheel. A new seven-inch touchscreen will be on top of the center stack hosting the Chevy MyLink infotainment system with access to either the Android Auto or Apple CarPlay suite of applications.
Performance boost for the 2017 Sonic
The increase in performance and spirited driving characteristics for the 2017 Sonic starts with its engine. Under the hood of the hatchback and sedan versions is a 1.8-liter, four-cylinder engine making nearly 140 horsepower. This is marked improvement over previous version of the Chevy Sonic. Fuel-consumption scores for the new Chevy vehicle have not been made public yet.
