New Buick Envision arriving soon
The new 2016 Buick Envision at the Edmonton Motor Show last weekend battled the all-new Buick Avenir concept sedan for the attention of the show’s attendees. Overall, it would be tough to declare which new Buick vehicle was the ultimate winner, but if anyone couldn’t make it to the Edmonton Expo Centre, Don Wheaton is providing a closer look at the new Buick crossover SUV. In the past year or 18 months, the two existing Buick SUVs, Encore and Enclave have accounted for a major portion of the automaker’s sales. Adding the new 2016 Envision to the mix should inject even more energy and excitement into Buick’s image.
Buick Canada expects the 2016 Buick Envision to arrive to dealerships like Don Wheaton during the spring or early summer of this year.
“The all-new Buick Envision is a modern, confident and responsive luxury compact crossover that combines the brand’s core characteristics with great performance features like our HiPer strut suspension,” Duncan Aldred, vice president of Buick said in a press release. “That dynamic experience behind the wheel is complemented by Buick’s signature luxury, whisper-quiet cabin and connectivity features to benefit drivers and passengers alike.”

Performance expectations of the 2016 Envision
Potential buyers of the 2016 Buick Envision which was at the Edmonton Auto Show will be getting one of the most flexible models in its class. Buick engineers have done an outstanding job of balancing performance and fuel economy in the new crossover SUV. Each model will be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine making more than 250 horsepower which is mated to a third-generation six-speed automatic transmission. Once the 2016 Envision is available to Don Wheaton customers, it will be able to outperform the Audi Q5.
Fuel consumption scores are not yet available for the 2016 Buick Envision. However, Buick’s development team ensured that the new crossover SUV will be a strong competitor within the ranks of its class by adding engine Start/Stop technology. This is the first vehicle to combine the turbocharged 2.0-liter engine and the engine deactivation feature. During low-speed or intermittent driving conditions, the engine of the new Envision SUV will shut down when the vehicle is stopped and will automatically restart when the accelerator is pressed. The easiest way to save fuel is to not use any.
