GM Fort McMurray Rebate
The residents of Fort McMurray have experienced as close to hell on earth as can be reasonably imagined. Nearly 100,000 people have been forced to leave. Many of them may have to wait a seemingly interminable amount of time before they can return home and begin to rebuild their lives. Ultimately, the most important lesson to take away from this tragedy is that people were kept safe. Houses, furniture and vehicles are only things which can be replaced. General Motors Canada and Don Wheaton want to help Fort McMurray residents start the rebuilding process by helping them get a new vehicle.
Rebate only for Fort McMurray residents
Anyone that lives in an eligible postal code (T9H, T9J, T0P, T0V) has until Sept. 30 of this year to claim the $1,000 credit offered by General Motors Canada. On top of that Don Wheaton will match the offer and give the same residents an additional $1,000 toward the purchase of any new Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet or GMC vehicle. Furthermore, customers can stack the $2,000 rebate with any existing incentive a vehicle may be carrying.
Neighbors helping neighbors
Certainly there isn’t anything that can make a person or family feel whole again after being forced from a home in such a way for such a long time. The rebuilding process is going to take sometime. In these difficult times, we only have each other to rely on for support.
Everyone at Don Wheaton couldn’t be more proud to call Edmonton home after seeing the community come together to help the people sent here to escape the Alberta Wildfire.
