Carhartt version of the Silverado
Chevrolet’s line of heavy duty pickup trucks are known all over the world for being reliable, rugged and ready to do just about anything its owner asks. This makes the Carhartt work jacket company a natural partner for building a Silverado concept package to be shown off at the annual SEMA show in Las Vegas, which starts this week. The two products are so well-linked that a Venn Diagram of Silverado owners and people who wear Carhartt products would be as close to a perfect circle as is possible. The Don Wheaton Blog will be among the first outlets to learn if the Carhartt version of the Silverado will be for sale in Canada.
“Chevrolet HD trucks are designed for hard work, and just like your favorite Carhartt, their functionality transcends the workplace to become a style statement,” said Sandor Piszar, Chevrolet Truck marketing director. “This concept vehicle mirrors the lifestyles of countless Chevy truck owners, demonstrating the personal connections with the tools of their trades.”
Features of the Carhartt Chevy Silverado HD
Chevy has created several concept packages for SEMA over the last few years. However, the Carhartt version of the Silverado is really something special. Rugged durability is a paramount factor in people choosing work clothes like those made by Carhartt. Designers used Carhartt’s signature duck brown garment material for the upholstery covering the seats, armrests and door panel inserts. Each are constructed with triple stitched seams – just like the world famous jackets. Additionally, the Carhartt logo is laser-etched into the headrests.
The exterior of the Carhartt version of the Silverado is a two-tone scheme called Carbon Flash. It has a matte finish above the beltline with the a high-gloss black under it for a unique contrast.
Other custom features include:
- 20-inch LED Light Bar
- In-bed electrical outlets
- Antique nickel accents
- Carhartt gold pinstripe graphics
