Canadian release date for the 2018 Buick Regal TourX
A main element of the Don Wheaton Blog is to keep track of what is coming down the pipe for our brands. Previously, we have reported that we know the next Cadillac vehicle to be released will more than likely be the Cadillac XT3, a subcompact crossover SUV. The next class that could challenge crossover SUVs is a line of Buick wagons. It will be interesting to see what happens when the release date of the 2018 Buick Regal TourX finally arrives. Our Buick brand has really gained a lot of ground in the premium crossover SUV market, but is looking farther down the road to stay ahead of changing trends in the marketplace.
The 2018 Buick Regal TourX is actually based on an Opel design that is sold by General Motors in Europe and other markets outside of North America.
“Regal TourX is a crossover in the truest sense of the word, with the drive dynamics of a car and the versatility of an SUV,” Duncan Aldred, vice president, global Buick and GMC said in a press release. “Additionally, it continues a trend set by the Cascada and Encore of bringing Buick’s contemporary design and attainable luxury credentials to new segments where customers are looking for more. TourX enters a vibrant segment with passion and youthful energy where drivers are able to experience the new Buick.”
What’s the next Buick model coming out?
Despite fairly solid sales figures, Buick has decided to cancel the Verano compact sedan. With a hole in the lineup, Buick has turned to Opel for its next vehicle – according to an AutoBlog post from earlier this spring. Using a lower-to-the-ground wagon design, Buick’s newest vehicle offering will be very unique among any of the rest of the vehicles for sale in the Don Wheaton showroom.
What is Buick calling its new vehicle?
The 2018 Buick Regal TourX was originally announced back in April and offers a taller ride height than the also brand new Buick Sportback. It is perfect for taking trips to a favorite cabin in the woods that requires traveling along a sometimes muddy road. The new Regal TourX comes with intelligent all-wheel-drive and plenty of space for cargo and passengers.
