Canadian release date for the 2019 Chevy Corvette ZR1
There is just something inherently unbearable about waiting. Time seems to slow almost to a stop as the anticipation builds. Automotive enthusiasts are going to really have to steel themselves until the eventual Canadian release date for the 2019 Chevy Corvette ZR1. If the automaker holds true to form, the latest iteration of the Corvette ZR1 will probably arrive at dealerships like Don Wheaton around this time next year. However, considering the news that has been released about the new Corvette ZR1, having to toil in impatient agony for the next 365 days is going to be worth it. Chevy pulled back the curtain at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show to reveal the 2019 Corvette ZR1 as the most powerful version of the famed sports car to ever roll off of the assembly line.
“The new Corvette ZR1 convertible is a supercar in all respects,” Mark Reuss, executive vice president, Global Product Development, Purchasing and Supply Chain said in a press release. “Few others can challenge the ZR1 convertible’s power and speed while offering the exhilaration of top-down motoring.”
2019 ZR1 performance specs and top speed
Anyone who knows anything about Corvette history knows that the ZR1 label is forever linked with world-class performance. Chevrolet took this to a whole new level with the development of the 2019 Corvette ZR1. Under the hood of the 2019 Chevy Corvette ZR1 is a supercharged 6.2-liter, V-8 engine capable of making 755 horsepower and 715 pound-feet of torque. Future owners will have a choice between a seven-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Not only will the new Corvette ZR1 be able to reach 60 mph in fewer than three seconds, but the new ZTK performance package will help push the car up to 212 miles per hour.
What else do we know?
Since the Canadian release date for the 2019 Chevy Corvette ZR1 is still about a year away, details are still few and far between. However, Chevy has already said that the newest Corvette supercar will have a convertible version and will have a driver-selectable set of driving modes that will affect how the car sounds and performs.
