Warranty For Fleet Eligible Customers
In addition to the 3-year/60,000-km1 base warranty coverage, 2021 model year Fleet (rental deliveries excluded) Chevrolet and GMC passenger cars, light-duty trucks or vans come with a 5-year/160,000-km1,3 (provided to qualified fleet customers who have taken delivery of a new eligible Chevrolet or GMC brand vehicle in Canada) Powertrain Component Warranty3 that:
Has a $0 deductible
Is transferable2 to another owner at no charge
1 Whichever comes first. Coverage begins on the date the vehicle is delivered and ends at the expiration of the applicable coverage period (“Coverage Period”). Your vehicle’s Warranty Booklet contains conditions, limitations, restrictions and exclusions and coverage periods pertaining to the warranties and the Owner’s Manual contains important information which may impact you maintaining your warranties. 2 The coverages and benefits provided under General Motors of Canada Company’s New Vehicle Limited Warranty are transferable at no cost to any subsequent person(s) who assumes ownership of the vehicle within an applicable Coverage Period.
3 Certain new eligible Model Year 2021 Chevrolet or GMC Brand vehicles delivered to qualified Commercial Fleet and/or Government Fleet customers in Canada receive a 5-year or 160,000-km, whichever comes first, Powertrain Component Warranty. General Motors of Canada Company provides a 5-year or 100,000- km, whichever comes first, Powertrain Component Warranty on all new Model Year 2021 Chevrolet and GMC brand vehicles sold in Canada; except that new Model Year 2021 Chevrolet or GMC Brand 2500/3500 Series Heavy Duty pickup trucks equipped with 6.6L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine sold new in Canada receive a 5-year or 160,000-km, whichever comes first, Powertrain Component Warranty.
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT ALTERATIONS AND WARRANTIES:
Installations or alterations to the Original Equipment (OE) vehicle or chassis as distributed by General Motors are not covered by the General Motors New Vehicle Limited Warranty. The special body company, assembler, equipment installer, or upfitter is solely responsible for warranties on the body or equipment and any alterations (or any effect of the alterations) to any of the parts, components, systems, or assemblies installed by GM. GM is not responsible for the safety or quality of design, features, materials, or workmanship of any alterations by such suppliers.
