The exterior styling of the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette makes this car look like it’s going fast even when it’s standing still. The standard engine is a 6.2-litre V-8 that provides the C8 with 490 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque going exclusively to the rear wheels through a quick-shifting, responsive, eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. However, a performance exhaust system is also available that boosts the Corvette’s output to 495 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft.
Of course, if you want the most powerful production Corvette available, that comes from a 5.5-litre naturally aspirated V-8 with a flat-plane crankshaft and a dual-overhead-camshaft valvetrain in the all-new Z06. The resulting 670 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque makes it the most horsepower ever offered by a naturally aspirated production V-8 engine. The Z06 is also available with a Z07 Performance Package if you want more than just the extra power. The package adds carbon fiber components such as a front splitter, dive planes, an underbody diffuser, and a rear wing, while a unique magnetorheological suspension system further enhances Z06 handling.
It’s the Chevrolet Corvette’s 70th birthday in 2023, so Chevrolet is marking the occasion by producing a 70th Anniversary Edition package available for any version of the 2023 Corvette, including the all-new Z06. Factory order a 2023 Corvette with the 70th Anniversary Edition package, and you can choose from two exterior colours unique to this package; an all-new White Pearl Metallic Tri-coat or Carbon Flash Metallic.
Satin Gray racing stripes are available for White Pearl Metallic Tri-coat versions of the car with the package, while Satin Black stripes are available if you choose a Carbon Flash Metallic Corvette. Other features of the 70th Anniversary Edition package include distinct wheel designs with commemorative center caps, with different designs to distinguish Stingray and Z06 models. The interior isn’t left out of the 70th Anniversary treatment either, with two-tone Ceramic leather GT2 or Competition Sport seats, red stitching, red seat belts, suede microfiber seat inserts, and the Anniversary logo on the steering wheel, seats, sill plates, and on the custom luggage.
