GM-Designed dexos® Oils
Ever been a little confused about which oil to select? It does make a difference, as substandard engine oil may result in loss of performance and even damage to your engine components.
GM makes the decision as easy as possible with dexos® oils. All GM engines since 2011 and dexos® oils were designed and engineered hand in hand to deliver the best in performance and reliability. No other engine oil has gone through GM’s rigorous testing and quality control process, so look for the blue or green logo, and select dexos® for all your future oil changes.
Most people know the importance of regularly replacing your engine oil, but the fluid in your transmission also needs to be changed, though much less frequently. A transmission flush is recommended on most GM models at around the 80,000 km mark, though this also depends on your vehicle and driving habits. Consult your service advisor for a more precise estimation.
Flushing the transmission at the recommended interval swaps out all the existing transmission fluid, which through age and use loses its viscosity, while contaminants build up which can cause damage and lack of reliability. A little preventative maintenance can go a long way in avoiding expensive engine repairs.
